The Price of Peace

I am not happy. I am peaceful. I’m not looking for happiness anymore…
Happiness is just a moment. Peace is everlasting… Happiness — easy comes and easy goes… Peace is there… you don’t have to get it but it’s the hardest thing to keep. It’s the only true challenge of the human’s soul… To keep its peace. It’s a natural characteristic of the soul… a natural state of being, you are born with it… but you’re keep losing it over and over again… throughout your life.
When you have your peace… you have everything. Everything can come… everything can go… Everything you win or you lose… Nothing really matters… when you have peace. Everything just goes through you… like a river. And you’re contemplating this river and you’re amazed by its beauty… every single moment… without feeling the need to slowing it down or stopping it. You just see it… how beautifully… how gracefully… this divine river is flowing through you. That’s peace.
And where is peace… there’s love too. Love lives only in the house of peace. Peace is giving birth to love… It’s like the mother and the son… always nurturing him… always helping him grow. Where there is peace… there’s faith too. And gratefulness. And compassion. And patience. And wisdom. Peace is the mother of all beautiful feelings a human being can have.
Peace is the beginning of everything.
Peace is the meaning of everything.
It is the way for everything…
Peace reigns life and death.
Peace is the clearest vision you can have… over everything that surrounds you.
It makes you whole… it makes you holly… it makes you divine.
Peace is the only thing that can keep our light shining.
Peace builds everything… harmonies everything… balances everything…
I’ve heard many people saying that “God is love”… Well love is beautiful. Yes. It’s sweet and tender, it’s a bliss… it’s an amazing feeling of the human’s soul. But it’s not everything. Love can be also blind… and hurtful… passionate and burning. Love can confuse us… outrage us… Love binds but also divides… I don’t think God is so contradictory and tumultuous… So I will say “God is Peace” not Love… because peace creates love also… but love doesn’t always creates peace.
Peace gives to the feeling of love a special kind of wholeness… and holiness… and purity. Peace creates an universal love… for everyone and everything.
So God is peace and peace is love… Love without peace is an agony… a continuous torment of the soul. It’s a passion… that burns you and everything around you.
So if you are lucky enough to see that in your soul… peace was everything you ever needed… You’ll find peace to be the most amazing and wonderful feeling there is. And when you’ll find it… you’ll know that everything you need to do… is to keep it. With all your strength and every fiber of your being… you just have to fight to keep that peace within yourself. No matter what.
You can give it… to others too. Because that’s the beauty of peace. No matter how much peace you’ll give… you’re not going to lose a shred of it.
So then you’ll say… “But how can I keep it then? If I will give it to others?”
By growing it… like an everlasting flower of your soul… nourishing it with patience, warming it with love and watering it with gratitude. It will always grow inside of you. No matter how much you give… This flower will always live in the everlasting spring of your soul…
The only way in which you can lose the peace is by chasing desires, temptations and vanities. In other words by choosing your ego over your spirit… And many people are making exactly this mistake… over and over again.
Chasing happiness. Always…
But the paradox is that every single time I ask someone what he/she wants… none of them says they want to be happy… they all say they need peace. Because happiness is the feeling they’ve had… over time… over and over again… but they’ve never experienced peace.
When you choose the material world over the spiritual state of being… When you advocate for your rights instead of your liberties… When you are in a perpetual competition with the world… and with yourself… You can’t never have peace. It means that you’ve sold your soul… at some point. And now your soul is wandering… somewhere… sold on a few cheap moments of “happiness”…
You’ll have to go back… in time… to redeem it. But… let me tell you… That it will cost you… way more than the price on which you’ve sold it.
But in the end… you’ll find peace again. And peace is absolutely PRICELESS. Remember this when you’ll be tempted to sell your soul again for the short illusion of happiness. Remember the emptiness that comes with it…
