Dana Tue Blog | Writings - Marriage’s Hell

I’ve been in that “normal state” before...

Swimming pain… to reach the shore…

I died there for thousands times...

Just a thousand unsolved crimes…

Every bit of me was murdered slowly...

I became so quiet… simple... holy…

Killed that crazy, wild side of myself…

For his sake I left it there.. over a shelf…

Smothered all my dreams with pillows…

Price I payed was in death mirrors…

Chained myself... with wedding ring…

Stabbed with love by marriage’s sting…

Tried so hard to please, to match...

Trapped in a dark, twisted catch…

Everything was great... No Sob...

Smiling… was my... full-time job…

Bitter tears were buried deep inside…

Under that pure, white mask… of the bride…

Worshiped him like The Almighty God…

Gave myself all... made him proud…

Like a graceful swan I danced along…

On that deadly… bridal song…

Black cigarette without smoke...

Ice cold widow... Soulless... Broke...

Carried it all on my back…

Never showing any crack…

Maybe just our love was sick…

Maybe I’ve deserved this trick…

Poisoned promises and vows…

Made us weep and arch the bows…

Prison of lost soul of mine…

Freedom died in marriage line…

Fought so hard... to free myself again…

Never going back... to marriage’s hell.
